Number four on Leilani's list of five favorite things she plans to do when Bo Obama comes to visit is watch birds from the deck at lanikai green house.

The best time to watch birds is either early morning or late afternoon.  The regular birds include:

• the Red-vented Bulbul, which is included among the world's worst invasive species,
• the Zebra Dove, one of the most abundant birds in Hawaii,
• the Spotted Dove, sometimes known as the Chinese Turtle-Dove and
• the Common Myna, which is very vocal and sometimes kept as a pet due to their "speaking" ability.

This time of year we also have:

• the Red-Crested Cardinal also known as the Brazilian Cardinal and
• the very attractive Java Sparrow. 

So, Bo, the birds are waiting for you!
